So i guess this can explain my blog's name: DUUUDLES.♥ (taken from Doodle:  an unfocused drawing made while a person's attention is otherwise occupied. Doodles are simple drawings that can have concrete representational meaning or may just be abstract shapes)

_when boredom strikes!_

Everyone who's around me all the time knows that this is what happens when I’m armed with a pen & paper (or tissue, desk, walls, blackboard. =p). I doodle especially when I’m bored or when everyone else is note taking during lectures – sorry teachers. ^_^  I’ve done lots of these already... that also means i've wasted lots and lots of my pens' ink! hahaha... but i don’t keep my works because they're not really anything special. I’ve made some for appreciative friends who asked for it, but I don’t know if they kept it though. =)

I’ve been asked, “what’s on your mind when you do this?”, or “what do these mean?”… Well, I really don’t know. I don’t think of anything in particular when I draw, and I certainly don’t know what these lines, vectors, dots & shapes mean! I just want to make things nice and clean. =p Maybe they do have meanings (unconsciously), but who knows what they are!? After all, they’re doodles. They don’t necessarily have to mean anything, Right? =)

I made the "before" duuudle last May 28, 2011. What you see is my hand... and they're made of callouts! haha. It's inspired by the nokia box i saw in my sister's room. I tried to color it in paint and i actually liked how it looked, thus the "after" pic! 

So there... i'll be making lots of these in the future for sure. What can i do, this is my kind of art... probably the only form of art i'm OK at. hahaha. ♥ (.!_!.) ♥

has he texted yet?

As bored as i am, and finding nothing else to do this summer apart from going online, facebook-ing and twitter-ing... i've resorted to reading OLD magazines. In CANDY MAGAZINE's October 2008 issue (yes 3 yrs ago =p),  i read an article about girls waiting for guys to reply to their texts.

It's a common dilemma  for all girls out there, you know becoming frustrated, upset, annoyed, sad... wondering WHY he hasn't texted yet!  After all, we're girls... we think too much, we're sensitive (well most of us are), and of course, we want to feel important especially to people we love or care for. And receiving late replies, or worse, receiving none, does not at all suffice our wanting to "feel important".

14. Knit cell phone cases for your whole family.
15. Poll everyone on whose make-up looks better: Ashlee's or Pete's.
16. Create a countdown calendar of movies you can't wait to see.
17. Start making your Christmas list. NON-TEXTERS DON'T MAKE THE LIST! =)

I haven't been in a relationship. i probably haven't been in love. But being in the CELLPHONE ERA, i've had my fair share of "text friends". I've waited and (secretly) got annoyed at delayed responses. And i most likely will still feel so in the months or years to come but hey... i'll remember to do these 17 things by heart and maybe, nah,

Date a girl who eats. Date a girl who dares to order a steak instead of slowly picking at salad leaves dressed with vinaigrette on the first date. She is the girl who knows what’s good on the menu, and knows that carbonara is often ordered by the bland brigade of people who don’t know any better.

Take her to a steak restaurant; make sure that you order your steak medium rare and not well done, because she knows that only barbarians order well done. Steak, medium rare, is the best way to identify good meat from the mediocre. She skips the Hollandaise and tucks in, stopping only for a bite of potatoes in between. The girl who eats doesn’t beat around the bush: she knows that steaks that require sauce are insecure.

Date her because that’s the same way she likes guys: substantial, and real. You won’t need to impress her with fancy restaurants, because the girl who eats has been to roadside eateries that serve food that’s just as good—or even better—than stuffy establishments. Knock down a stick of barbecue and a good, cold beer with her (as long as you don’t ice it down to a watery mess).
